About me… Do you really want to know???

Well, I’m a 20-something living in a 30-something’s body; born 10 years too late to be the hippie I really want to be. I’m a born and bred urbanite struggling to reduce the negative impact I’m having on our Mother Earth, and the negative impact that industrial society has on me. I’m a web developer by day for a leading internet/telecom corporation. By night… I’m a wannabe.

A wannabe:
… Hippie!
… Fiber Artist/Designer.
… Successful and Published Novelist.
… Happy Clam.
… Reclusive Hermit. (Or is that Hobbit.)
… Outgoing, Athletic, Nature-Type.
… Vampire.

I’m interested in most things ‘green’….
And in most techy/geeky things.
I have 4 computers running in my house.
I own 4 gaming consoles.
I play World of Warcraft.
I crochet and knit (mostly in the dark, because I’m still afraid to live out loud.)
I have 2 knitting machines: a Bond USM, and a Brother 970 (which I still cannot use).
I have 2 Fluffy Pembroke Welch Corgis (dogs) and 3 cats (Siamese, Norwegian Forest Cat-mix, and an ALH with Herpes).
I have a thing for changing things names. A person or creature will go thru multiple names before I come up with the proper bastardization of the original.

I hate chores and housework, but I like organizing.
I love the feel of brand new socks and a freshly made bed.
I love presents… but not ’surprises’.
I seem to have more bad luck than I should (bad Karma?).
I don’t meet people well, and therefore have only 1 or 2 real friends (only 3 or 4 so-called friends).
I walk loudly, and have no need for a big stick (except when I’m in Ninja-stealth mode.)
I have my own reality (go get your own.)

And I’m happy you stopped by, and have stuck with me long enough to read through all this!!

About Urban Ecoist

Highlighting products, services, and a growing number of "grassroots" ideas, Urban Ecoist is one blogger's attempt to document, examine, and explore the myriad ways an ecologically minded urbanite can reduce her impact on the world around her, while maintaining a comfortable way of life. Topics included will be environmental pollution and contamination, personal product reviews, recycling, upcycling, DIY recycling projects, alternative fuels, plastic bag and solid waste managment, green products, green services, with tips and tricks (every Tuesday on how you can do it too) thrown in. Anything 'Mother Earth' related is fair game...
